Best practices for subject lines & openers

    • Keep subject lines under 6 words – mobile first
    • No buzzwords ('disruptive', 'next-gen', 'game-changer')
    • Opening sentence must NEVER start with 'I' – always with the recipient
    • Personalization tokens only when they truly land – otherwise drop them
    • One clear question per email, not three
    • A question at the end usually beats a CTA with a calendar link
    • A/B test: 2 subjects per persona in parallel, at least 200 sends each
    • Never identical subjects across re-engagement and cold – HubSpot will dedupe

How to set this up in HubSpot & Outreach Master

Create a dedicated sequence folder per persona in HubSpot and use the subject lines as email 1 of each sequence. Personalization tokens like {{contact.firstname}} and {{company.name}} are HubSpot standard. With Outreach Master you add parallel LinkedIn and AI-call tasks per sequence (see HubSpot sequence templates with 4×4 cadence) – turning a mail sequence into a documented multichannel process.
